With the recent buzz around it, consumers have started comparing the brand with other popular online retailers like Shein or Lululemon, wondering: Is Halara legit?

Halara creates clothing that is “made for what moves you” and includes a range of active and casual wear designed for stretch and comfort in the retail comfort experience. The brand heavily utilizes social media for marketing, which has paid off for the brand. 

One of the popular Halara questions is, “Where does it ship from?” The answer, according to the brand’s FAQs, is from “premium factories across East and Southeast Asia.” Consumer insights tell us that the brand is legit, but customer experiences vary.

According to Halara clothing reviews on PissedConsumer, the company currently has a 1.9* rating out of a possible five stars. 74% of the reviews about the brand are negative, and only 14% of reviewers would recommend the company to a friend or colleague. Customers claim to have lost $6,620 to the company, and only three issues have been reported as resolved by customer service. 

According to customer experience in reviews, shoppers complain that there are very poor ways to contact customer service, nobody will help with returns, there are issues with returns and refunds, and there is inadequate or no customer service.

In fact, one customer recently complained in a Reddit thread that she never received her order. Another customer suggested that “shipping takes forever and returns aren’t free.” She continued by saying you “HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING THE RETURN” and another customer commented that it was “like $15 to return 3 items.”

On the plus side, customers found that some of the company's items were wearable. They also noted reasonable prices and accurate descriptions and praised the quality of the products, including multiple reviews on social media. One reviewer praised her new Halara pants and said she wants "them in every color!"

How to Contact Halara Customer Service?

Contacting Halara customer service is relatively straightforward. Customers can reach out to customer support in the following ways:

Despite having easy access to Halara customer service, many shoppers aren’t satisfied. Halara reviews have created a 1.4 out of 5 rating for the brand's customer support. Most customers call about Halara shipping times, which can be up to two weeks, or returns with Halara. 

While some consumers can reach customer service, others hang up frustrated. In one of Halara complaints, a reviewer called customer service after a Halara coupon code wasn’t applied to an order. They said:

Once you call the provided phone number, the recording states that the number is not valid…Unfortunately, there was no customer service and no valid phone number. Therefore, I was unable to place my order…

Are Halara Products of Good Quality?

Customers have mixed feelings about the quality of Halara clothing. Some shoppers, such as a recent reviewer on PissedConsumer (review #6047197), are satisfied with Halara and claim the clothing “description was spot on, and the pants fit and looked great.”

A stream of Halara customers on reddit.com agrees and praises Halara clothing options with praise, such as saying a Halara dress was “gorgeous and well made.” Another customer claims that the pants are “very comfortable” and likes that they “had the shorter inseam.”

Other customers feel the quality of Halara clothing isn’t suitable. One Instagram commenter complained that inseams in “tall” pants on Halara “need to be longer.”

In review #6046111, one of the customers was frustrated not just about potential Halara returns, but also about the inability to verify the fabric content of their new items:

The items are definitely from China. I cannot verify the fabric content.

What is the Halara Return Policy? 

According to the Halara FAQ section, the Halara return policy states customers "have 30 days to decide if an item is right for you." They are asked to email service@thehalara.com about the items they would like to return. A response email will include instructions for sending products back. 

Some notes from the FAQ about returns include the fact that the site does not accept worn or washed items. They don't accept any returns on underwear. They also note that they "must receive returns within 30 days of the return confirmation email." Finally, they note that they do not cover delivery fees and request that customers "not send returned items to the sender's address from the package…received." 

The complexity and unusual nature of the return policy don't sit well with some customers. One customer commented on the Halara Instagram account about having to "email your company numerous times" before a return was approved. Then, after the customer had shipped the item, she had to "respond to the thread with a tracking number," which she found "truly ridiculous and such a turn off."

Another customer commented that the company also requested “you take three pictures of yourself in the item” and called it “weird asf.” 

Some customers cannot understand the Halara return policy and call it “shady and awful.” For example, a shopper had to go through 

a bunch of steps for the return that really didn't need to be this complicated, and could have been solved over with ONE email…

Moreover, the company refunded their money to a gift card instead of their credit card. 

Occasionally there are positive stories of returns, however. One customer left review # 6026180, claiming she “always had good experiences with Halara.” When she emailed about returning items, she was told to “keep the items and they would give me store credit.” She used the credit to “reorder” and “received” other items. 

How Long Does Halara Shipping Take?

The official company statement on shipping times in the Halara FAQ section is vague. It states that “shipping time can vary depending on the destination region and country.” 

Customer experience tells us more about what to expect after you make an order. 

One Instagram poster claims they “ordered three weeks ago and still haven’t received my order.” They warn others to build in time for a long delay; otherwise, an order is “likely not going to arrive in time.”
