A lot of customers wonder, where does TwinklingTree ship from? According to the tracking information, our TwinklingTree order was shipped from China. According to consumer reviews, orders are shipped from different locations.

However, the company is located in Australia and all returns should be shipped there, which is a surprise to many consures. For example, review #6967073 highlighted:

The tree looks like some thin I could have bought at Dollar store… And if I want to return it, I have to pay the return charges to ship it to Australia (from Canada) !!! I never order from pop-ups and this is the reason.

In our case, we still were willing to attemp a return. So we submitted a return request, and asked for additional detail in this regard. The TwinklingTree customer support responded with two options. We could either send the items back to an address in Australia and cover the shipping costs for a full refund, or keep the items and get a 50% partial refund of the order value.

While these options may seem reasonable at face value, return logistics quickly became a major financial burden. Shipping the items back to Australia was estimated at $140. In this particular case, the original order totaled $440, meaning that after paying the return shipping fee, the estimated refund would still amount to about $300.

However, for smaller orders valued at $140 or less, returning items would likely cost more than the refund itself, making the 50% refund the only practical option for many customers.

In case, an order was placed, but you changed your mind, you have 6 hours to cancel. However, cancellations do not always go as expected.

In review #6972510, the customer refers to a TwinklingTree scam. They explain that they attempted to cancel an order for one poinsettia but were instead charged for two.

Ordered ONE poinsettia and even tried to cancel THAT order, On trying to cancel my order, in some sneaky way they tacked on that I bought TWO MORE POINSETTIAS!… They are a company of SCAM ARTISTS!!!

In their email to our team member, TwinklingTree said that the full refund would be processed immediately once the items were received at their return address. Once issued, refunds typically take 1-10 business days to reflect, depending on your payment provider. As of two months after returning the items, our team member has still not received a refund.

Several TwinklingTree customer reviews on PissedConsumer further indicate that getting refunds is not as straightforward as presented. Refunds often take longer than expected, and customers have to follow up repeatedly, sometimes without success.

In review #6269701, a customer shared a similar frustrating refund experience with TwinklingTree. 

I have about five emails back and forth with the company requesting a full refund. They continue to ask for more details and try to persuade me to keep the product.

Like our team member, this customer was also instructed to send the items back to Australia and cover the return shipping fees. The reviewer further pointed out that “the original package came from Jamaica, New York,” which added to the confusion surrounding TwinklingTree’s shipping and return operations.

If you received a defective product, TwinklingTree’s exchange policy indicates that the company will send you a free replacement. However, customers are required to send a video to the customer support team as proof of the defect before a replacement can be approved.
