Hartz positions their Tick and Flea Control product line as the best flea treatment. However, Hartz pet product reviews indicate otherwise. The majority of complaints are regarding the Hartz flea and Tick collars and Ultraguard flea and tick treatment, with customers citing adverse effects of the product.

In one of the Hartz consumer complaints #5057417 the pet owner shared:

We almost lost our dear sweet Kobe, only 2&1/2 years old. Three days after giving him a Hartz Ultraguard Pro flea/tick treatment, he started losing balance and having tremors

While in Hartz review #5400045, the pet owner said:

I use the hearts, flea and tick collar for cats and it ate all of my cats hair off of her whole neck and all the way to the meat and I have spent up to $1200 so far in emergency veterinary bills.

Other commonly reported consumer issues are regarding the Delectable brand of Hartz pet products. In review #5698781 a customer said that there was no calorie information indicated, while complaint #5610374 indicated that the Chicken chews had a high salt content.

Notably, there are no complaints about other Hartz pet products on PissedConsumer. Satisfied customers say that their pets love the products. 

What is Hartz’s Return Policy? 

According to the Hartz return policy and Satisfaction guarantee provided in their FAQ section, you can return any of their products that you are not satisfied with at any time for a refund of the purchase price.

You can return an unused portion of Hartz pet supplies in its original packaging along with the original receipts. Include your name, return address, and reason you are not satisfied with the products in the return package and send it to the following address:
