Still, users may encounter some issues with reaching customer service. For example, in one of AT&T reviews , the customer says:

I have tried for a week, calling 4 times a day to get a hold of a live person to renew my business line. Every time after 20 minutes I am disconnected by the computer.

3. How to Contact AT&T Live Chat?

Live chat is one of the easiest ways to contact ATT customer support. It is often used as an alternative to the ATT support email. You can access the ATT customer service chat service easily by clicking on the live chat icon near the bottom of the page, on the right-hand side.

ATT live chat is also offered as a way to get assistance on most FAQ pages. Or, you could search for “live chat” on the help center search bar.

ATT live chat

The ATT live chat automated assistant will attempt to resolve your issue. In an attempt to offer relevant ATT help, the automated assistant may ask some questions about your issue. In most cases, it will provide you with a link to an FAQ page addressing the issue.

If you do not get help on the live chat, contact the ATT call center to speak to a representative.

4. What Are AT&T Community Forums?

A crucial part of the ATT help center is the community forum. According to ATT.com., the forum serves as a 24/7 online social site where community members can engage and interact with each other.

It is designed to enable customers to find answers to questions about various ATT products, services, and processes. Forum participants can ask and respond to each other's questions. They can also get tech support and share tips and tricks. Aside from discussions, some consumers also post their ATT complaints on the forum.

The forum was launched in 2014 and has morethan 1.6 members with over 256.6K likes. It is categorized into smaller forums based on products and areas of interest. The sub-forums include:

  • Wireless Forum.
  • Internet Forum.
  • Email Forum.
  • Home Phone Forum.
  • Community Clubhouse.
  • TV Forum.

ATT community forums

There is also a blog within the community forum where some AT&T employees post articles on various topics. The employees note that they post at their discretion and that the opinions and strategies presented in the articles do not represent ATT as a company.

Customers are required to sign up on the ATT forum to participate. There are clear community forum guidelines and policies stipulated in forum introductory articles and some ATT help center articles. Ensure to read them at or before signup to get the most out of the forum.

If you don’t get assistance through the other ATT customer service channel, consider reading answers to questions similar to yours by other customers. You can peruse through the specific forum’s question or type in your question on the search bar. If you still can’t find an answer, post a question to the most relevant forum for your issue.

Note that there is no way to contact ATT customer support on the forum. There is no ATT customer service phone number or email address provided. Neither can you access the ATT live chat on the community forum.

AT&T reviews show that forum is not always helpful for getting assistance. For example, one AT&T customer described their issues with low signal on their phone service. They tried several ways to solve the problems, including the AT&T forum. However, everything was to no avail:

I tried ATT's troubleshooting procedure and even registered my complaint on their forum where an ATT rep started a chat and then left the session without providing any help!
